Explosion

An experimental project done in Seoul, Korea for a week-long artist residency. It’s genesis goes back to a statement made by the Korean foreign minister at a Kimchi Day party, speaking of Kimchi as “a worldwide explosion”.
In the context of the dynamic growth and impact of the Korean economy, this ambiguous platitude could not go unnocited, so the artist through her per- formative actions and street interviews asks passers-by if Kimchi really did explode.
